Nice job on your Haiku Deck - I love that tool for creating visual presentations - so very important when we consider visual literacy. The photos are already Creative Commons licensed so there's no worry about attribution or permission. :)
I heartily agree with you that student engagement is critical in today's classrooms. Fortunately, technology can be that catalyst, but more importantly with engagement comes active learning which definitely tends to have more 'stick' than the traditional listening while the teacher is lecturing. :)
